Julia aka Peaches…..I remember when we first met and then we both had the same classes every semester. I remember us in Vickery class and all the memories we shared together. You will be missed girl but not forgotten. I love ya and I will see you in heaven one day.

My “Skee Wee” is what i called her but many knew her as Julia “Peaches” Player. Last time i saw skee wee was a month ago and i asked her about little madison and all you could see was peace, joy, and happines in her eyes when i spoke her daughters name. I loved that she could make me smile when i would looke down or just seemed upset about somtihng, she would say “Idiot whats wrong with you” and i would always laugh out loud and tell her nothing. I wish i had a chance to ask my skee wee was there anything that i could do, but i didn’t. I will get a chance to see my skee wee again one day, and oh what a grand time i know we will have. I LOVE YOU DEARLY “IDIOT’!!!!!

Peaches and I known each other since our freshmen year, we grew closer by taking classes together in the BA. Our bond was formed when we both found out we were pregnant. That started the fire, we both wanted girls and we both were blessed with beautiful healthy babies. We were by each others side throughout the whole pregnancy. we were so close our due dates were 3days apart I was due before her but Madison came 3days before Juicy. We both had complications during delivery 4 the same reasons. After the girls were here we continued our monthly luncheons and weekly walks in the park. Peaches and I talked about everything everything. We was just planning the girls 1st birthday party for Jan 2011. We had big plans and expectations for the girls. From conception we said our girls would be bestfriends and thats exactly what they are going to be. I will continue our traditions of luncheons, walks, and matching outfits. Madison will know how great her mommy was. Love you to death Julia Peaches Player

I briefly went to high school w/ Julia and on to ASU. I cannot say that I knew her, personally, but what I did know is she seemed to have been a beautiful person inside and out. May she rest in peace and God be with her family.

I met Julia (Peaches) thru my daughter Shanta’i and I will never forget when they came for a weekend to visit me in Panama City we had so much. My prayers go out to her family during this difficult time, heaven truly gained an Angel. ” Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matt 5:4

Peaches Hey Frieennnnnndddd =) Every time I would see her, that was my greeting. Truly an Angel from Heaven. Peaches was the first girl I met at the “interest” meeting for Monopoly Girls and from there, we were great friends. I had the pleasure of seeing her everyday in my dorm since she was best friends with my roommate Shauntai. ;-) I will never forget all of our laughs, our stories, and most of all her spirit!!!! I love you so much. May you rest in peace babygirl.

  10. Shantai McDermott says:

Wow! Where do I begin..we met at an interest meeting for monopoly girls fall 2004at ASU. We were both 17, both Sagittarius, she was born Dec 8th myself Dec 1st 1986. It was like we were put in each others life on purpose. She was the mediator between all the arguments and fights, she was and will always be my bestfriend. The trips to alpine and Madison together, the Rose club nights, the crazy guys we encountered, the spring break that has yet to be topped or forgotten, the trips to Huntsville lol, and the gazillion pther times we shared. I never imagined something like this so soon but I am dealing with it with a smile because I know that’s how you would want me too! I’m doing what you always told me too..SMILE :) even through the tears..I love you peaches you truly showed me what the meaning of friendship is..someone who enters your life and changes it and you in the process. I have learned patience, understanding, never to hold grudges, and laugh and smile more than frown because life is just too short to waste, and even after your passing I have learned more than a few life lessons that I’ll keep in my heart. Rest in peace my dear friend..I WILL see you in the sky :) I LOVE YOU Peach Peach! You’ll always be the other half of our fruit basket ( Peaches & Applebottom ) I didn’t forget.

    Ps
Damenica my dear roommate any other time misspelling my name wouldve mattered but I love you 2 and if I’ve learned anything these laat couple days use your time and energy wisely and who it matters too knows who you were referring to :) I hope to see you Saturday and be by my side as we see our friend for the final time. Again peaches I miss you and love you always!
    Your friend forever,
    Shantai tai tai mcdermott

I met peaches in my freshman year at ASU… We became friends quickly due to the fact that we were MGG’s.. She was the sweetest person out of all of us.. Always the level headed one.. I’m gonna miss my friend so much.. It just don’t seem real to me.. I feel for her family but I feel for her babygirl the most.. I’m keeping everyone in my prayers daily… I <3 you Peaches

  12. “Hi I’m Alesia, and you”? It was the middle to the end of the day before my last class. I was in a classmate’s room borrowing a book, when her roommate walked in. “I’m Julia” – “oh That’s pretty and classic, my grandma’s name is Julia” She turned and emptied a few things out of a bag, “Everyone calls me Peaches”. The first thing I noticed about her were those big bright eyes. We small talked and my classmate, now returning from the bathroom mentioned the upcoming interest meeting for a certain prominent organization in campus. “Either of you guys thinking about going?” I lowered my head and blushed with embarrassment, but Peaches, she simply looked back at the classmate, smiled, and continued with what she was doing. I was more than thrilled to see her face among those who were chosen as the 2006 Beta Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

To my beautiful LS: Thank you. For all of the hugs, calls, text. Thank you for staying late to teach me strolls (since i had two left feet), thank you for helping me with my hair, (you and Charleen) thank you for your love. Thank you for teaching me to use the word Idiot as a term of endearment :-) Thank you for ultimately teaching me to appreciate every reunion – of the Sorority as a whole, of Beta Pi, and of 42. I will miss you every day. I will forget you Never.

  13. Ria says:

I realize that this may be in poor taste, but how did she die?

  14. Tammey Player Byse says:

I am Julia (Peaches) Player’s mother and I want to thank all of her friends for such kind words. I just found this site today. Thank you all for everything. It has been a struggle for me; but I have to try to be strong for Madison.
